- Sasha Banks
- Nikki Bella
AND THE WINNER IS…
There has been a push for a change in the portrayal of women in wrestling in the WWE. This started in NXT with four women in the developmental system. Although they may have been coached to wrestle in the WWE style for women, they rose above that and showcased their talents. Charlotte and Bayley, nominated above, alongside Becky Lynch, Emma and Paige were all pioneers in the shift in NXT. It should also be noted that Nikki Bella who was champion throughout 2015 did make noticeable efforts to improve her in-ring ability.
That being said, no one made more improvement in their game than Sasha Banks. Sasha developed the reputation of having great matches with various opponents; a similar reputation to that of Bret Hart, Curt Hennig, Shawn Michaels and Eddie Guerrero. Sasha’s in-ring talent and charisma make her not only the best female wrestler but one of the best superstars in the WWE and possibly the wrestling business in 2015. Sasha Banks simply has “it” the intangible factors that make a Superstar superior to those around them–an innate ability to be destined for success. Look for Sasha to have her crowning moment at Wrestlemania this year as she claims the championship on the Grandest Stage.
