You may be surprised that Shelton Benjamin made this list, but you shouldn’t be. It’s Shelton Benjamin’s impressive athleticism that makes him an essential name on this list. In his first two Wrestlemania’s Benjamin demonstrated how great of a tag team wrestler he was as he successfully retained the tag belts in his first Wrestlemania with Charlie Haas. As Benjamin began his singles career he picked up important single’s titles: Intercontinental and United States Championships and Benjamin had lengthy reigns and would enter Wrestlemanias of that year with those belts. Benjamin participated in five Money in the Bank Ladder Matches and I absolutely believe that his innovation led to the success of the match and not only did it become an annual event at Wrestlemania but this led to the match becoming so popular that it’s now a feature Pay-per-view. Credit must go to Shelton Benjamin. Additionally, although Benjamin only won once on the Grandest Stage, he may be the only man to NEVER have been pinned at Wrestlemania. So the numbers may not look impressive but I would encourage you to watch all of Benjamin’s matches and you’ll find there is no dispute that Shelton Benjamin was an elite Wrestlemania performer.
